Starting Jan. 1, 2013, smoking is prohibited in all occupied Rockingham County buildings and within 50-feet of all occupied Rockingham County building entrances. The use of tobacco products is also prohibited inside and within a 50-foot perimeter of the Rockingham County Department of Public Health.
This action will assist in limiting the exposure of secondhand smoke, which is dangerous at any level, to those who visit Rockingham County facilities.
